Once you’ve booked a Timeleft event, you can invite people to join you. You can invite an existing Timeleft connection or share the invite link with someone outside Timeleft.
How to send an invitation
- Open your Event Details.
- Tap Invite.
- Choose how you’d like to invite someone:
- Copy link to send a +1 invitation yourself.
- Share link to share a +1 invitation through another app.
- Invite in-app connections to invite people you’ve already connected with on Timeleft.
- Follow the on-screen steps to send or share your invitation.
Inviting an existing Timeleft connection
Want to see someone from a previous Timeleft event again? You can invite your existing connections directly in the app.
When you select Invite in-app connections, you can:
- Browse your connections, with your newest connections shown first.
- Search for a specific person.
- Select one or multiple connections.
- Invite up to 5 Timeleft connections per event.
After selecting your connections, tap Invite and review the Invitation Confirmation page. Your invitations are sent once you confirm.
Someone with a pending or accepted invitation can't be invited to the same event again.
What happens after you invite them?
Before your group is revealed, invited connections with a pending or accepted invitation appear on your Event Details with one of these statuses:
- Waiting confirmation - they haven't accepted yet.
- Accepted - they're joining you.
Once your group is revealed, accepted connections appear directly in your Group card and Participants section.
You'll also be able to tap an accepted connection to view their profile or open your 1:1 chat.
If an invitation is declined or expires, the person is removed from your invitation and group details, and you'll receive a notification.
Bringing a +1 who isn't on Timeleft
You can also invite someone outside Timeleft by sharing your unique invitation link.
From the Invite screen, select Copy link or Share link, then send the link to the person you'd like to bring.
There is no limit to how many people you can share your +1 link with. Because external links can be shared outside the app, pending +1 invitations aren't shown in your Event Details. A +1 will only appear in your group after they accept the invitation and join the event.
What does your +1 need to do?
When your guest opens the link, they'll see an invitation page with information about the event, including the date, time, location, language, and who's going.
They can then:
- Accept the invitation.
- Complete a short introduction to Timeleft.
- Complete a simplified signup.
- Confirm that they're joining the event.
They don't need an existing Timeleft subscription to accept your +1 invitation.
If they decide to book another Timeleft event later, they'll be asked to finish the remaining onboarding questions before continuing with the usual booking process.
What's the difference between Repeat and +1?
Repeat invitations are for people you've already connected with through Timeleft. You invite them directly from your in-app connections.
+1 invitations are shared using an external link and can be used to invite someone who isn't already a Timeleft connection.
