Timeleft is a subscription service — your plan renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. Most unexpected charges are a renewal. Start by checking what the charge was for:
- A subscription renewal — your plan renewed at the end of its billing period.
- A charge after you cancelled — the cancellation may not have gone through, or it was on a different account.
- A no-show fee — applied when you missed an event without cancelling in time.
- A charge at the venue — this comes from the restaurant or bar, not from Timeleft.
I cancelled but I'm still being charged.
This is the most common case, and it usually comes down to one of these:
- You cancelled around the renewal date. The charge may correspond to a payment taken just before — or on the same day as — your cancellation. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and no further payments are taken.
- You subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you originally subscribed through an app store, your subscription is managed by Apple or Google — not Timeleft. Cancelling inside the Timeleft app won't stop a store-managed subscription; it has to be cancelled directly in the store.
- The subscription is on a different account. Many people have more than one Timeleft account without realising it — usually from signing up with different email addresses or login methods. If you cancelled on one account but the subscription is on another, charges continue. Check that the charge matches the account you cancelled on.
- You closed your account but didn't cancel your subscription. These are two separate actions. Closing your account doesn't automatically cancel an active subscription, so payments can continue. The subscription has to be cancelled where it was purchased.
- A previous payment failed and was retried. If an earlier payment couldn't be collected before you cancelled, you may see one or more automatic retry attempts for that outstanding amount.
How do I stop future charges?
Cancelling your subscription stops it from renewing.

Cancel in the right place — if you subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel in the store, not just the app.

How do I request a refund?
Contact support with the charge date and amount, and whether you intended to cancel or weren't aware the subscription was still active. For subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play, refunds need to be requested directly from Apple or Google.
