This article explains the no-show penalty fee that may apply if you book a Timeleft event and don’t attend. You’ll learn who this policy applies to, when a fee may be charged and how much it is.
No-shows affect other guests' experience and can result in incomplete tables. This policy helps promote commitment, fairness, and better experiences for everyone.
What Is a No-Show?
A no-show happens when you book a Timeleft event but don’t attend, and other guests at your table report that you were absent in their post-event feedback. This policy is being enforced to help reduce unexpected absences and to help everyone have a better experience. The goal is to encourage attendance and fairness, not to generate revenue.
What Is the No-Show Penalty Fee?
To encourage fair participation and help ensure full tables, Timeleft may charge a no-show penalty fee when a guest does not attend an event without canceling their attendance.
The no-show penalty fee:
- Applies to new and returning subscribers
- Applies in all countries except the United States
If the fee applies to your booking, you’ll see clear messaging about it before you confirm your reservation. As we are introducing no-show fees slowly, if this warning did not appear prior to booking, you will not be charged a no-show fee. You will be warned before making the reservation in the booking process.
How Do I Get the No-Show Status?
You will be counted as a no-show when at least two people from your table report that you did not attend the event. Whether you are charged a fee or not, this is recorded in your profile and can impact prioritization for matching at future events.
You’ll continue to receive all standard reminders and event communications before the event. Please take the time to cancel or contact customer support directly if you have an issue, so that this status is not marked on your record.
How Much Is the Fee?
The penalty fee is a flat amount equal to 35% of the price of a 1-month subscription, in your billing currency. The exact amount is shown during booking if the policy applies to you.
If a no-show penalty is charged:
- The fee is charged automatically using your saved payment method
- It can happen up to two days after your event date
- You’ll receive a receipt by email from Timeleft confirming the charge
If you believe you attended the event or were incorrectly charged, please contact our Support team so we can review your case.
